About
When the Second Life Viewer was released as open-source, I gave it a go and tried it out. Many people (like me) only had the latest version of Microsoft Visual Studio 2005. Linden Labs is still working with 2003. A lot of problems occured that prevented us from building the code. I gave it a rest for a few months to hopefully see if the problems would be fixed. Today, Electric Sheep have offered space to host a copy of the source code so you can develop it seperate from the Linden Labs version. Most of the problems have been addressed for 2005, but personally, I still have a ton of build errors, and I get get something called cygwin to work that apparently fixes the problems. *sigh* From Dedric Mauriac via blogHUD
